OCEAN BASKET

OCEAN BASKET

The oversized pan comes sizzling with a beautiful array of pink prawns, calamari, fried basa fish, crispy calamari heads and creamy mussels, a feast for the eyes! The generous portions will impress you as much as the food itself. Ocean Basket was born with the promise to serve delicious, unpretentious seafood at affordable prices because everyone deserves to experience the bounty of the ocean.

For over 24 years, Ocean Basket has been serving a seafood feast to their diners all over the world. Lagos became one of their seafood destinations over 7 years ago, with their first location in Victoria Island. Since then, they have established themselves as the primary destination for a family-style, casual seafood experience. Each of their three locations has a great open space with a Mediterranean feel, with wooden chairs and tables covered with plaid tablecloths and fun facts about the ocean on paper table runners, and a great outdoor space that diners can enjoy.

Their sharing culture is evident in all their dishes, especially in their platters, encouraging friends and family to eat together. Their dishes are all served in pans that look like they’ve come straight off the stove, giving it an authentic, no-fuss, homemade feel. To start, if you want a little Najia kick, dive into their Seafood Pepper Soup, served with generous portions of fish, calamari, and prawns. Or if you’re looking for something more indulgent, the Crumbed Prawn Tails are irresistible. Dipped in the accompanying herb mayo, the fried prawns melt in your mouth.

The lighter options are just as delicious, with fresh, crisp salads that are healthy and filling, or you can opt for stir-fried vegetables or a side salad instead of fries and rice with your food. The options are endless. But if you really can’t choose, their famous platters give you the best of all their offerings. Whether you’re a party of one or a family of 10, their platters will not disappoint. Their platters are filled with a heavenly selection of seafood and their famous fingerlicking, lemon garlic sauce, that you will dip the complimentary bread rolls into, to ensure you don’t miss a drop! Their creamy lemon sauce is also a delicious complement to the melt-in-your-mouth basa fish.

Having recently reintroduced their sushi menu, you can now sample a selection of fresh fish in all it’s colourful varieties. From California rolls to sashimi, you can give into your sushi cravings without the overpriced guilt. The only guilt you may feel is after you’ve indulged in one of their rich desserts. From the gooey, chocolatey Lava Cake and Sticky Toffee Pudding to the Baklava Cheesecake, you can’t help but give in to one.

Seafood lovers, one and all, make Ocean Basket your seafood destination!
