Legends: Kings and Kingdoms is a musical play centred on the lives and triumph of Africa’s legends. Through music and dance, we embark on a journey through the lives and the cultures of five legendary icons in Africa from Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Ghana and Angola.
This musical drama is a collaborative production of Seeing Through the Arts and Declassical arts and Entertainments, in partnership with the 22nd MUSON Festival of the Arts and directed by the dynamic duo of Gbenga Yusuf & Ayo Ajayi. featuring Segun Adefila, Yinka Davies, Tosin Adeyemi, Oluchi Odii, Floyd Igbo, Eden Attai, Mojisola kadiri to mention a few.
The LEGENDS is outstanding for its masterful concern with the deeds of a select African icons and making their ancient, lofty achievements relevant to the 21st century African, in order to revive self belief and reliance on their capabilities as a people.
In this musical revolution, five popular African heroes: Sango (Nigeria), Nana Yaa Asantewa (Ghana), Nefertiti (Egypt), Shaka Zulu (South African) and Queen Amina of Zazzai (Nigeria), drawn from different African countries, must come together to save ‘Modaland’ from a common foe.
Great names and Icons will featured in this unpredictable and imaginative framework, Legends will keep you at the edge of your seat
